I love the Hobie Brown "palms" thread from Spiderverse 2.

Like, in the one scene Hobie busts the force field, notices Miles was doing something similar to him, and points out it'd be more effective if he used more surface area by touching with palms, not just fingertips. It's a quick line of dialogue in the middle of a rapidly unfolding action scene.

And then when Miles is trapped in a different force field like 8 scenes later, he makes the "palms" gesture and mouths the words. Which is about all he can do without tipping off the rest of the several dozen guys in the room what he's trying to say. And Miles doesn't get it right away, but he does like a few seconds later and you can kinda see his face when it clicks. It's enough to kick off the escape.

This is cool not just because it allows a good bit of detailed hand animation, but also because it's just communicating detail and character in a tight, focused way.

#in stars and time #isat #siffrin #josh art tag #happy pride yall!#getting to play as a nonbinary protag who is also ace was just so so cool #im hoping to draw the main 6 with their flags for pride #cuz this game and its lgbt-ness makes me so happy and its awesome that its canon!#i also really love the varied relevancy of the lgbt themes #cuz its certainly not the plot of the story #but some characters lgbt-ness is quite important to their backstory or their current struggles!#while for others its just kinda there!!#and i think thats great #its a good reflection of real life and how different people have different experiences being lgbt and how it affects their lives differently #and works well with the story #it doesnt get in the way at all while still being important to the characters #and it even fits into the worldbuilding so well????#truly if there were no mentions of the Gender Themes i think the worldbuilding wouldnt have been quite as good #mirabelle specifically really gets to me...#prolly cuz im. yknow. aroace too #but seeing how she felt she was betraying her religion? how she fept she needed to change to fit other peoples expectations?#and how earlier in the game she does actually say breaking traditions is also a part of the change belief #but she doesnt realize that can extend to her #it all hits really hard for me

just finished Nimona… DAMN does it feel good to watch such an openly queer movie man

#i haven’t read the graphic novel (though now I plan to!) so these are just my observations from the movie but #nimona is fucking trans & nonbinary man #like so fucking openly. refusing to answer balistair’s small minded questions and simply replying ‘i’m Nimona!’#chef’s kiss. absolutely fucking astounding. the nonbinary/genderqueer experience in a nutshell #you cannot and will not pin me down !#and obviously the major themes of being the odd one out among a whole society of people perceived as ‘normal’. wow that hit close to home!#and if the aggressively queer themes weren’t enough we have ambrosius and balistair too <3 like fuck yeah give us that on screen couple !#overall… enjoyed it so very much #a new comfort movie perhaps…..#oh and don’t think i missed that pride flag in the credits lmaooo absolutely iconic #jay rambles #nimona #nimona spoilers

I made this Pride flag using only images and screenshots from the Avatar franchise and I thought it looked pretty cool so I posted it here😊🏳️‍🌈💖

I saw this post and I got inspired by it. And seeing that the month is almost over, might as well upload it now.

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH 2024!!!

As you can see above, every color band is represented by a specific scenario in the Avatar world (both movies, posters, games, theme parks...):

White: Payakan and Lo'ak playing together [ATWOW - concept art]

Pink: The forest and plains of Pandora at dusk. [Avatar 2009 - concept art]

Blue: The Sully family flying above the ocean on their way to the Metkayina. [ATWOW]

Brown: Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney's animal kingdom. [Bay Lake, Florida]

I just had a dream that Simon was still trying to cope with his loss of Betty so he turned to going to princess yard sales and buying all of the jewelry he could from them and pretending that he was buying it for Betty

Also there was some random confessional from Betty from inside of GOLB’s head like it was a reality tv show where she’s like “Simon seriously needs to get over me, he’s being so cringe right now” (not word for word but pretty much what she said)
